TurnLeaf goes into fifth play!

September 23, 2007

The telecom world talks about “triple play” when they mean the bundling of telephony, internet and television services. They use the term “quad play” when mobile communications is added to the package.

Our newest customer (see previous posting) took a clue from the 80’s English ska band Madness and goes “one step beyond”: they’re called “fifthplay“.

Fifthplay, a spin-off of Niko, wants to improve the life of people by enabling their global market partners to deploy aggregated e-services into the home. Fifthplay’s initial focus areas are: home safety and security, personal wellness diagnostics, household management and integrated real-estate projects.

Paul Van Cotthem, “Marketeer of the Year”, has started up his own marketing consulting and interim management company called TurnLeaf, based in Lier, Belgium.

Paul was the Senior VP of Residential Sales & Marketing at Telenet until February 2007 and a former Country Manager at Apple Belgium.
